About Me

I have recently graduated from the Environmental Design program at OCAD University with a Bachelor of Design and started as a Junior Designer at Jamie Banfield Design. I grew up in Waterloo, Ontario and graduated from Kitchener Collegiate Institute as an Ontario Scholar. I have now moved West to North Vancouver, BC. Growing up I spent a lot of time at my cottage in Northern Ontario which has given me an appreciation for nature and remote building. This has fostered my interest in landscape architecture and urban planning. In my spare time, I am passionate about hiking, skiing, rock climbing and travelling. In my designs, I like to explore natural materials and designs having an appreciation of the beauty in nature.

In my courses, I have learned a lot about design development and different ways to portray and communicate my ideas. I use Autocad, Revit, QGIS, Rhino, Sketchup, Photoshop and Illustrator on a regular basis. I also like hands-on work and find myself spending a lot of time in the wood, metal and fabrication shops at school experimenting with different materials and am always eager to learn more.
